I DONT KNOW EITHER ACTUALLY…….. i think like. getting REAL GOOD at technical recreation is its own cool reward like theres something really satisfying about making things thatre INDISTINGUISHABLE from real life situations !!!! wow !!!!! its real now
but also
i think theres something lost when you get into that REAL heavy detail work that that you can only get with something very loose and stylized and im gonna call it charm. its not a tangible thing i know how to define but the charm meter ???? on some things its off the fuckin charts baby
( and theres definitely ways to do both that dont sacrifice either, of course ! )
speaking of charm i replayed super mario 64 the other day and i just love how chunky bowser is in it
